'Where the Wild things are' a book I have had for years, and a favourite to read to my five year old son. I was so excited when I found out it was being made into a film by one of my favourite directors Spike Jonze. And was equally excited when I found out about Spike Jonze's collaboration with fashion label Opening Ceremony.

Directors Label DVD Series, Volume 1- The Work of Director Spike Jonze.

Watch this. He has the most incredible sense of humour.

Five things I like about Spike:

1. Dare devil- he is a skater and occasional stuntman

2. Award Winning- he has worked with one of my favourite bands The Beastie Boys, and directed their Grammy winning film clip 'Weapon of Choice'

3. Hilarious- He brought me to tears of laughter with The Torrance Community Dance Group, in Fatboy Slim's 'Praise you'.

4. Brilliant- He directed Being John Malkovich

5. Good taste- He was at one stage married to Sophia Coppola, who I adore and who is one of the most stylist women in the world at the moment.

Sorry for the lack of posts, but I am back! And back with a fresh face for 2010.

I recently shot up and coming model Juliana Forge. The 17 year old Melbournian is heading to Paris soon, and is currently in Sydney on go sees.

Juliana is wearing a Lover dress from the A/W Collection. I have one on order and will be wearing as soon as it arrives, dressing it down with sandals (the hardest thing in the world to find at the moment).

Overcast and raining but never the less impressive, the Northern Beaches in Sydney is a hive of fashion activity. I visited the girls from Bassike, Mary Lou and Deb at their amazing Palm Beach office or as I call it a retreat. I'm shown their new collection of wardrobe staples (yes I have a selection of their quality cotton tee's, dresses and blazers) and Mary Lou reminds me how she did work experience with me many moons ago when I was at marie claire.

Their offices are complete with all the trimmings of serious work, and their desks are filled with computers, fabric swatches and lots paperwork piled high to run their international business that has grown to incredible proportions in the last couple of years.

But with breath taking views of Palm Beach, I don't know how they get any work done!

Their dog Butch... yes the girls have a good sense of humor.

I'm finally on holidays, feeling happy, healthy and already shopping. It helps that I'm on vacation with Nicky and Simone Zimmermann.

We sat down in their new pop up store in Whale Beach, with the soft sound of crashing waves outside and the hum of reggae playing instore. We chatted plans for new years eve, bikini's, panama hats and gossiped old times.
